NorAm Water Polo Event Is This Week

The U.S. youth boys’ water polo team is hosting the NorAm tournament Wednesday through Saturday at the Joint Forces Training Base at Los Alamitos.
Capistrano Valley’s Jason Lynch and San Clemente’s Marc Parker are part of the coaching staff leading the U.S. contingent, which along with Canada will have two teams each in the tournament. Japan and Australia are also participating.
Orange County players on the U.S. team include Newport Harbor’s Steve Jendrusina, Foothill’s Brian Alexander and goalie Ian Elliott, Corona del Mar’s Garrett Bowlus and Villa Park goalie Jared Jones. San Clemente’s Logan Powell is on the U.S. B team.
Games are 9-11 a.m. and 6-8 p.m. for the first three days. The final session Saturday concludes with the championship game at 11 a.m.
The U.S. youth girls’ team is in Montreal playing in the NorAm tournament Wednesday through Saturday.
