James, a 6-foot-4 senior, averaged 31 points and 15 rebounds in two victories last week. In a game between the Garden
Grove
League’s top two teams,
James had 26 points, 15 re-
bounds
and eight blocked shots in a 77-74 overtime victory against Pacifica that kept Bolsa Grande undefeated in league. He had 36 points and 14 rebounds in a 91-67 victory over La Quinta for the Matadors’ 12th consecutive victory.

Laguna Hills, Wrestling
Won his match at 130 pounds to help No. 7 Laguna Hills defeat No. 4 Irvine, 35-25, in a key Sea View League meet.

Heritage Christian, Basketball
Had 14 points and made game-winning shot in a key 36-34 Express League victory over Rolling Hills Prep.
Kristen Mann
Foothill, Basketball
Mann entered the week averaging 20 points and 10 rebounds, but she bettered those totals last week during two victories, including a 61-50 victory over No. 10 Rosary in the Chino Hills Ayala tournament.
Mann had 25 points and 15 rebounds against Rosary. In a Century League game against Villa Park, Mann had 27 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and three blocked shots in the Knights’ 65-38 victory.

Pacifica, Basketball
She had 14 points and nine steals to help Pacifica remain atop the Garden Grove League with a 67-47 victory over second-place Santiago.
* Julia Peron
Laguna Hills, Soccer
Scored the only goal, in the second half, to help unranked Laguna Hills defeat fourth-ranked Woodbridge, 1-0.
