In the Freeway League:

No. 10 Sunny Hills 5, Buena Park 0--Simi Phull scored two goals, giving her 35 for the season to set a school record for host Sunny Hills (20-4-1, 8-0). The Lancers clinched at least a tie for the league title, their eighth in 10 years.

In the South Coast League:

No. 1 Capistrano Valley 6, El Toro 0--Megan Abbamonto and Janelle Hillseth each scored two goals for Capistrano Valley (17-1, 7-0).

No. 4 San Clemente 4, Dana Hills 0--Tracy Walla scored two first-half goals and Whitney Jones and Emily Ernsdorf also scored for host San Clemente (12-1-3, 6-1).

No. 9 Mission Viejo 3, Trabuco Hills 1--Alyssa Arman, Mandy Rogers and Stacey Mescher scored for Mission Viejo (15-5-1, 4-4), which moved into third place.

In the Sunset League:

Edison 1, No. 5 Esperanza 0--The Aztecs left the far post unmarked on an Edison corner kick and Leslie Shannon squeezed a shot into the corner past diving goalkeeper Kristen Skinner. The loss dropped Esperanza (14-6-2, 6-2) into second place.

Edison (14-5-4, 3-3-2) moved into third place over Los Alamitos (11-8-2, 3-4-1), which defeated Fountain Valley, 1-0.

No. 7 Marina 3, Huntington Beach 0--Sophomore Erin Droeger scored two second-half goals and Paige Morgan added one in the first to lead visiting Marina (16-6-3, 6-1-1), which took sole possession of first place and clinched its first playoff spot in five years.

In Freeway League wrestling:

La Habra 33, Sonora 31--Pins by Miguel Ruiz, Jason Murphy, Kevin Lang and Jason Robinson were the difference for La Habra (3-2 in league). Sonora fell to 2-3.
