Nevada 77, Cal State Fullerton 60--Nevada dominated inside to win consecutive games for the first time this season in front of 5,694 at Reno, Nev.

It was Nevada’s 10th consecutive victory over Fullerton dating to 1994.

Nevada (4-9, 2-0 in the Big West) had a 54-30 lead in rebounding. Richard Stirgus, a 6-foot-6 junior, had 18 rebounds and nine of his 13 points came from offensive rebounds. Nevada had 26 offensive rebounds.

The Wolf Pack shot only 36%, but took 12 more shots.

“It has been that way all season,” Fullerton Coach Bob Hawking said. “But to be outrebounded, 54-30, is an insurmountable number when you’re trying to win a game. We have to find a way to get the job done. Right now, we don’t have the answers.”
