Ina Kim is getting the hang of winning.

Kim, a senior at Harvard-Westlake High who lives in Encino, won the girls’ title of the Osso Junior at Oak Tree Golf Club in Edmond, Okla., on Thursday, her second victory in three weeks.

Two weeks ago, Kim registered her first American Junior Golf Assn. victory at the Las Vegas Founders’ Legacy Junior.

“It feels good to win,” Kim said. “I didn’t hit many greens [Thursday], but I putted well and hit consistently.”

The 72-hole, stroke-play tournament will match the top 10 players in the world golf rankings and two players selected by the Tiger Woods Foundation.

Tom Lehman, one of the at-large selections, won the inaugural tournament last year by three strokes over David Duval at Greyhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Tiger Woods, the tournament host, struggled to a 76 in the final round and finished 10th.

Gallery badges, which allow fans access only to the grounds during the week, are $65. Daily gallery passes are $10 for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, $20 for Thursday and Friday, and $30 for Saturday and Sunday.

Duffy Waldorf hit a ceremonial tee shot and Mayor JoAnne Darcy of Santa Clarita performed ribbon-cutting duties Tuesday at the official grand opening of Robinson Ranch in Canyon Country.

Ted Robinson Sr. and Jr., designers and owners of the 36-hole facility, also participated in opening ceremonies at the first championship public course in the Santa Clarita Valley since Valencia Country Club went private in 1985.

“You don’t create something of this magnitude by yourself,” Robinson Jr. said. “We want to thank all the people who took this journey with us and the staff that is here every day making it work.

“This is a project we can all be proud of for years to come and we’re proud that this facility bears the Robinson name.”

The Mountain Course at Robinson Ranch has been open since December and the Valley Course opened in May.

Waldorf’s ceremonial tee shot rolled to within 15 yards of the green on the 373-yard first hole, but he was more impressed by the greens at Robinson Ranch.

“Most of the greens aren’t this good, or as fast as the Valley Course, on the PGA Tour,” Waldorf said. “They had new greens at the Memorial [at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio] and at Colonial [Country Club in Ft. Worth, Texas] this year that were as good [as Robinson Ranch], but it was the same type of [A-1 bent] grass. And Augusta’s greens are awfully good, and maybe faster, but that’s about it.

“You could hold any major amateur tournament, like the Southern California Amateur or even a U.S. Amateur [at Robinson Ranch]. The courses are good enough for a PGA Tour event, but you couldn’t have a huge gallery the way it is now.

“It’s a tremendous setting with great views, and the courses are spectacular.”
