Top-Seeded Ventura Runs Past Cypress
Renae Hoffman scored 26 points to help top-seeded Ventura defeat Cypress, 94-56, in the third round of the Southern California women’s basketball playoffs Friday in Ventura.
Hoffman made six three-pointers for Ventura (35-0), which advanced to the state tournament.
Triana Allen had 19 points and nine rebounds and Anita Colon had 17 points and nine rebounds for 24th-seeded Cypress (12-20).
In another Southern California playoff game:
Cerritos 84, Orange Coast 80--Cerritos advanced to the state tournament. Orange Coast ended 27-6.
