Bohannon Is the New Guy

Ever since power forward Brian Skinner suffered a severe ankle injury in December, the Clippers have been trying to find anyone with size to add more depth inside.

Marty Conlon was the first to get the call. Pete Chilcutt was next, followed by Mario Bennett. Now it’s Etdrick Bohannon’s turn. Bohannon, a 6-foot-9 rebounding specialist, signed a 10-day contract with the Clippers on Monday and had five rebounds in 11 minutes against Dallas on Tuesday.

“No matter where I am at, I’ve always had an attitude if you work hard you’ll succeed,” said Bohannon, who spent most of the season playing in the CBA but signed two 10-day contracts with the New York Knicks less than a month ago.

“[The Knicks] really liked me. They offered to keep me, but . . . the situation is better [with the Clippers].”
