In other Sunset League games:

No. 8 Esperanza 10, Edison 1 (6, mercy)--Kristen Shea homered and drove in three runs and Kristen Dedmon (13-5) earned the victory for the visiting Aztecs (17-7, 3-5). Edison is 10-14, 0-8.

No. 4 Marina 3, Huntington Beach 0--Carrie Hagen had one hit, scored once and stole two bases for host Marina (20-6, 6-2).

In the Century League:

No. 1 Foothill 8, Santa Ana Valley 0--Caitlin Lowe had two hits, drove in a run and stole two bases for Foothill (25-2, 8-0). Kristen Mann and Elizabeth Bendig each had two hits, with Bendig driving in three runs and Mann driving in one.

In the Empire League:

No. 9 Kennedy 1, El Dorado 0--Pam Young’s bases-loaded single drove in the only run in the bottom of the first inning for Kennedy (18-5, 5-3).

In the Freeway League:

Fullerton 6, La Habra 2--Rachel Bock had two hits, three RBIs, stole two bases and threw a runner out at home for the visiting Indians (12-10, 4-4). La Habra is 8-15, 1-7.

In the Olympic League:

Calvary Chapel 3, Cerritos Valley Christian 1--Lindsey Dyer drove in the winning run and Stephanie Williams (13-4) struck out nine for the Eagles.

In the Orange League:

Brea Olinda 3, Savanna 1--Erin Hessman (3-8) drove in a run and was the winning pitcher for visiting Brea Olinda (9-11, 6-2).

In the Pacific Coast League:

Corona del Mar 10, Estancia 8--Alissa Zoelle had two hits, including a three-run triple in the bottom of the fifth that put Corona del Mar (7-9, 4-4) ahead, 10-8.

Northwood 3, Costa Mesa 1--Allison Lewis had 16 strikeouts and the visiting Timberwolves (14-2, 8-0) clinched the school’s first league softball title, scoring three runs in the fourth inning. Leslie Curtis tripled to score Lewis, then came home on a passed ball. Kimiko Ferante scored the third run on an error.

University 2, Laguna Beach 0--Samara Fishbein’s single drove in Stephanie Fitch in the first inning for host University (7-16, 5-3).
