The City Council will honor Brea Olinda High School’s state champions tonight by designating May 21 to 27 Ladycats Week. The girls varsity basketball team made a comeback and took the state title this season, after being runners-up in the California Interscholastic Federation playoffs. This is the second time the council has attempted to honor the basketball team. Difficulties with the team’s busy schedule have delayed Ladycats Week.
