In Division I:

Fountain Valley 7, Paramount 6--Josh Bartusick threw five shutout innings for the visiting Barons (18-9), who escaped a seventh-inning comeback attempt to win the wild-card game. Fountain Valley took a 7-0 lead into the seventh, then allowed Paramount (13-11) to score six runs before Mike Koehler struck out the last batter with runners on first and third.

In Division V:

Whittier Christian 11, San Pedro Mary Star of the Sea 5--Sophomore Anthony Villa (7-4) struck out 10 and hit his fourth homer for the Heralds (15-9), who put the game out of reach with a five-run sixth. Anthony Ruiz had three hits and four RBIs, Robert Alexander drove in three runs and Matt Ramirez contributed three hits.
