Fuller Promoted by Montclair Prep

Tyrone Fuller has been selected boys’ basketball coach at Montclair Prep.

Fuller, who played two years at USC, coached the Mounties’ junior varsity for the last four seasons.

He replaces co-coach Greg Patterson, who resigned to become coach at Viewpoint, and co-coach Howard Abrams, who will become assistant athletic director.

BASKETBALL

* Eurskine Robinson, a 6-0 point guard who averaged 10.1 points and 7.2 assists at College of the Canyons, has signed with Loyola Marymount.

Four other Cougars have committed to four-year schools: Anthony Ellison, a 6-4 forward from Canoga Park who averaged 23.7 points, will go to NAIA University of Mary in North Dakota; 6-1 guard Charles Madison, who sat out last season but averaged 15.1 points and four assists in 1998-99, will attend Portland State; 6-1 guard Rahsard Wallace will go to NAIA Maine-Machias; 6-2 guard Keith Cooley will attend Division II Erskine College in South Carolina.

* The Hollywood Knights celebrity team plays the El Camino Real High staff at 7:30 p.m. today at El Camino Real to raise funds for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Proceeds benefit the Tianna Teegarden Memorial Fund, which helps patients and families during and after hospitalization.

Alfonso Ribeiro of “Fresh Prince” leads the Hollywood Knights team, which includes Michael Bergin, Bruce Michael Hall, Mark Paul Gosselaar and Bryan Daillo.

Festivities begin at 5 p.m. with musical guest This and That. Admission is $10.
