Granada Hills 7, Cleveland 0--No. 2 singles player Christine Dao and defending City Section doubles champions Karyn Linder and Shannon Slotnick didn’t lose a game for the Highlanders in a West Valley League match at Cleveland (10-3, 7-3).

Granada Hills (13-0, 10-0), winner of 91 consecutive sets, wrapped up its seventh consecutive unbeaten league season.

San Fernando 4, Kennedy 3--Veasna Phao defeated Amy Abeshyan, 8-6, at No. 3 singles to clinch a Valley Mission League victory for the Tigers at El Cariso Park in Sylmar.

Anna Alvarado and Annette Mendoza, playing at No. 2 doubles for San Fernando (13-0, 10-0), won their match, 8-4, to finish the regular season at 13-0.

Simi Valley 10, Westlake 8--Stacy Gunawan swept her sets at No. 1 singles and the Pioneers (16-4, 10-2) ended the Warriors’ 35-match Marmonte League winning streak at North Ranch Country Club.

Lauren Baer and Lindsay Weiss swept three sets at No. 1 doubles for the Warriors (13-5, 10-1), who were playing their second match in as many days because of a rain delay.

Melissa Hoang won two at No. 2 singles for Simi Valley, which was also playing for the second day in a row.

Hoang lost three sets in an earlier loss to Westlake.

Tri-Valley League Doubles Tournament-- Kathryn Meister and Stephanie Matthews of La Reina defeated Raine Mitchell and Catherine Hillman of St. Bonaventure, 6-1, 6-1, in the championship match at Oak Park High.

Meister and Matthews, the top-seeded team, lost only one game each in their two preliminary matches.

Katie Callaghan of St. Bonaventure defeated teammate Alyssa Halcomb, 6-3, 6-3, for the singles title Monday.

GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL

Poly def. Canoga Park, 15-10, 15-11, 15-6--Jennifer Alfaro had nine kills and seven digs to help the host Parrots (12-1, 10-0) complete their second consecutive unbeaten season in the Sunset Six League.

La Canada def. Temple City, 15-2, 15-4, 15-13--Vanessa Young had 14 kills and Kalee Heydorff added 11, and the host Spartans clinched their fourth consecutive Rio Hondo League title.

BOYS’ WATER POLO

Crescenta Valley 18, Hoover 5--David Mulcahey scored seven goals, Jeff Little had six and the Falcons (20-4, 6-0) won in the preliminaries of the Pacific League tournament at Arcadia High.

Crescenta Valley will meet Glendale in the final on Thursday. The Falcons edged Glendale, 9-7, two weeks ago.

Travis Schmitt had seven steals and goalkeeper Mike Hoy had nine saves for Crescenta Valley.

GIRLS’ GOLF

Foothill League Match No. 5--Sara Jones shot a 13-over-par 88 and Hart outdistanced runner-up Burroughs, 277-316, to wrap up the Foothill League title at the Hansen Dam Golf Course.

Moah Chang of Burbank shot 88 and was selected the league’s most valuable player.
