Ventura 41, Pierce 8--Tico Freeman rushed 23 times for 155 yards and scored on runs of five, 22, and two yards in a WSC Northern Division game at Pierce.

Taru Dailey completed 10 of 14 passes for 138 yards and three touchdowns. He rushed eight times for 110 yards.

Daily threw a 36-yard touchdown pass to Lee Lewis in the first quarter. After a 10-yard scoring pass to Aaron Neal, Dailey gave Ventura (4-4, 3-2) a 28-0 halftime lead with a 21-yard touchdown pass to Marquis Johnson.

Franklin Calicutt returned a Chad Metelak pass 100 yards with 6:44 in the third quarter for the Brahmas (1-7, 1-4).

Jamaal Washingtom of Pierce completed six of 20 passes for 202 yards.

Kroells completed 15 of 33 passes for 163 yards.

Defensive back Michael Holmes of Glendale (3-5, 2-3) returned a fumble nine yards for a touchdown for a 7-6 lead with 13:07 left in the first quarter.

Hancock (6-2, 4-1) scored on its next six possesions.
