Santa Paula 52, Santa Clara 14--The Cardinals scored three times in the first three minutes and breezed at Santa Paula.

Santa Paula (8-1-1, 3-1-1) was sparked by Javier Ramirez, who accounted for 309 total yards.

Ramirez, a senior, returned the opening kickoff 84 yards for a touchdown and had a 56-yard punt return for a touchdown late in the first half.

Ramirez also had a 71-yard touchdown run in the third quarter to give Santa Paula a 49-8 lead.

Ramirez only handled the ball 10 times. He had five carries for 95 yards, three punt returns for 101 yards and two kickoff returns for 113 yards.

Jimmy Griffin of Santa Clara (1-9, 0-4) completed 11 of 33 passes for 129 yards and a touchdown.
