Saugus 42, Monroe 14--Brandon McCollough had 196 yards in 16 carries and scored on runs of 26, 47 and six yards at Saugus.
McCollough also scored on a 21-yard reception.
Chris Alheim of Saugus (2-3) completed 14 of 20 passes for 207 yards and two touchdowns, but had four passes intercepted.
James Buxton completed 15 of 28 passes for 239 yards and two touchdowns for Monroe (1-4).
Brandon Browner took a swing pass from Alheim for 75 yards and a touchdown to give Saugus a 20-7 lead.
Browner and Adan Perez each had two interceptions for Monroe.
Browner returned his first interception to the Saugus one with 16 seconds remaining in the half, but a fourth-down run by Alex Delgado was stopped short of the goal line as time expired.
McCollough left the game due to a knee injury after his six-yard touchdown run gave Saugus a 35-7 lead early in the fourth quarter.
