Valencia’s Watson Picks BYU

All-Valley catcher Lauren Watson of Valencia High has committed to play softball at Brigham Young.

Watson, who also considered Alabama, Virginia, New Mexico and San Diego State, is the second player from the region to commit to BYU. All-Ventura County infielder Oli Keohohou of Newbury Park committed earlier.

“When I walked on the BYU campus, I just fell in love,” Watson said. “I’m really excited about this.”
