IRVINE
Collectors and aficionados of politics may bid at a silent auction featuring books on American politics at the University Park Library through Oct. 8.
Some of the items on the auction block include signed books by Richard Nixon, Pat Buchanan and Jack Peltason. Titles on the Civil War, World War I and materials on John F. Kennedy and the 1960s also are available.
Bidding will take place during library hours: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays.
