In another nonleague game:
Burbank 42, Murphy 0--Oscar Flores rushed for 129 yards and two touchdowns in 10 carries for the Bulldogs (1-1) at Burroughs High.
Flores scored on a six-yard run midway through the first quarter to cap a seven-play, 80-yard drive and added a five-yard scoring run in the third quarter.
Danny Screws rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown in five carries. Michael Baker carried 16 times for 66 yards and Garret Dahlia had 65 yards and a touchdown in seven carries.
Paul Escobar completed eight of 23 passes for 96 yards and a touchdown for Burbank.
The Bulldogs were also strong on defense, limiting the Nobles (1-1) to 50 yards in the first half.
Roger Starkey caught three passes for 31 yards for the Bulldogs, including a nine-yard scoring reception and subsequent two-point conversion catch to give Burbank a 14-0 lead in the second quarter.
Jake Bryan caught two passes for 37 yards and Baker added two catches for 31 yards.
