Notre Dame 41, Burroughs 0--Miguel Armendariz rushed for 109 yards in 12 carries and scored three first-half touchdowns for the Knights at Burroughs.
Armendariz’s third touchdown, a 16-yard run, gave Notre Dame (2-0) a 27-0 halftime lead. He had scoring runs of 11 and nine yards in the first quarter.
Phil Beckmann completed six of seven passes for 100 yards and rushed for 62 yards in eight carries for Notre Dame. All of his completions were to wide receiver Michael Luderer, including a six-yarder for the first touchdown.
Nine backs combined for 292 yards rushing for Notre Dame, which absorbed 143 yards in penalties. Burroughs (0-2) finished with 123 total yards.
