Sylmar 42, Pasadena 7--John Valdez completed 19 of 30 passes for 227 yards and four touchdowns in a nonleague game at Sylmar.
Felipe Samano caught touchdown passes of three and 19 yards, and finished with seven catches for 101 yards.
The Sylmar (2-0) defense dominated the first half, sacking Kenneth McDaniels five times and holding the Bulldogs (0-2) to minus-nine yards.
James Pringle opened the scoring with a 21-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. He finished with 108 yards in seven carries. He also caught a one-yard touchdown pass.
Sylmar rushed for 205 yards and finished with 432 yards. Pasadena was held to 22 yards rushing.
