Buena Nets Upset Victory Over Oxnard

Lindsey Martin had 12 kills and four blocks to help Buena High upset Oxnard, 15-12, 15-13, 15-8, in a girls’ volleyball match Tuesday night at Buena.
Martin and Lisa Worley helped the Bulldogs (2-2) control the net. Worley had 11 kills and setter Janee Richards had 29 assists and seven kills.
Sarah Morrison had 15 kills for Oxnard (3-1), ranked No. 4 in the region by The Times.
La Reina def. Malibu, 15-1, 15-1, 15-4--Ashley Hain had 12 service points, including five aces for the Regents in a nonleague match at Malibu.
Christine Werner had six kills and Chelsie Simpson added five for No. 2-ranked La Reina (3-0).
Royal def. Thousand Oaks, 15-10, 14-16, 15-8, 15-1--Carly Huffman had nine blocks for the Highlanders (1-2) in a nonleague victory at Royal.
Chatsworth def. University, 15-5, 15-8, 15-11--Linda Wang had six blocks and K.C. Doig had five for the No. 5-ranked Chancellors (1-0) in a nonleague victory at University.
Village Christian def. Hart, 15-3, 15-13, 4-15, 12-15, 15-8--Maria Abaca had 23 kills and 23 digs for the Crusaders in a nonleague match at Village Christian.
Abaca had nine kills in game four for the No. 9-ranked Crusaders (11-0).
BOYS’ WATER POLO
Bell Gardens 11, Crescenta Valley 10--The Lancers (6-0) scored nine seconds after the Falcons were forced to play short-handed when Travis Schmitt received a 20-second exclusion in sudden-death overtime of a nonleague game at Bell Gardens.
Jeff Little had five goals and Mike Hoy had 13 saves for Crescenta Valley (5-2).
Royal 19, Buena 0--Ramiro Saldain scored five goals in a nonleague game at Royal (4-2).
GIRLS’ TENNIS
Campbell Hall 16, Notre Dame 2--Daron Moore swept at No. 1 singles for the Vikings, including a 6-0 victory over Natalie Malouf in which Moore did not lose a point in a nonleague match at Valley College.
Moore and Cheyenne Reveche are 12-0 in singles play for the Vikings (4-0).
Westlake 13, Agoura 5--Lauren Baer and Lindsay Weiss swept at No. 1 doubles for the Warriors (4-1, 2-0) in a Marmonte League match at Agoura (2-2, 1-1).
Lauren Townsend and Megan Agase swept at No. 2 doubles for Westlake, which dropped only one doubles set.
