Oxnard Man Stabbed to Death in the Street
An Oxnard man died early Monday after he was stabbed repeatedly in the neck and left to die in the street, police said.
Blood stained N Street and a nearby alley where 20-year-old Bryan Davalos was attacked near his van sometime after midnight.
Davalos staggered about 20 yards before collapsing, police said. A passing motorist saw his body about 1:30 a.m. and called police.
He was taken to St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, where he died of his injuries.
Police have no suspects and it is unknown whether the attack was gang related, Oxnard Police Sgt. Jim Seitz said. Seitz said Davalos may have been living in his van.
Rich Rosales, who lives nearby, said he’s heard of violence in the neighborhood before.
“This area is not the best--it has its ups and downs,” said Rosales, 24.
“My friend was killed on the corner up there three years ago.”
