Chris Denove of Agoura High has signed to play baseball at UCLA.

A 6-foot-1, 196-pound catcher, Denove chose UCLA over USC, Georgetown and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

“I like the way they run the program,” Denove said. “And I’m staying close to home, staying where the weather’s nice.”

Denove, who has a strong arm, is hitting .367 with five doubles, two home runs and 13 runs batted in.
