No. 9 Brigham Young Takes Unbeaten Record to Hawaii

Brigham Young, with its dreams of a berth to a bowl championship series game dashed earlier this week, concludes its regular season today against Hawaii in search of 13-0 record.

Although the No. 9 Cougars have won three games in a row against Hawaii (8-3), it will be tested by quarterback Nick Rolovich and receiver Ashley Lelie.

In eight games, Rolovich has thrown for 2,818 yards and 26 touchdowns, and Lelie has 76 catches for 1,451 yards.

The Cougars could be without starting cornerbacks Jernaro Gilford (sprained knee ligament) and Brandon Heaney (separated shoulder). Running back Luke Staley is out after breaking his left fibula against Mississippi State.

Casey Printers ran for a touchdown and threw a touchdown at Hattiesburg, Miss., as Texas Christian (6-5, 4-3 Conference USA) defeated Southern Mississippi, 14-12, to earn a bid to the Galleryfurniture.com Bowl.... Oklahoma’s Rocky Calmus won the Butkus Award as the nation’s top linebacker. UCLA’s Robert Thomas was a finalist. Valdosta State quarterback Dusty Bonner won his second Harlon Hill trophy in a row as the top Division II player.
