Anaheim police were searching Saturday for the driver of a pickup truck that struck and killed a pedestrian. Authorities said the driver fled after the collision.
The truck hit the pedestrian about 10:15 p.m. Friday in a crosswalk at Lincoln Avenue and Citron Street, said police Sgt. Rick Martinez. The pedestrian was pronounced dead one hour later at UCI Medical Center in Orange. His identity was not revealed, pending notification of his family.
Police spent Saturday searching for the truck, which witnesses said was light-colored and damaged on its left side.
Anyone with information about the crime can call Anaheim police investigator Steve McIntosh at (714) 765-1835.
