Texas Tech Upsets Vanderbilt

Amber Tarr scored 23 points and Natalie Ritchie had 21 to lead No. 13-ranked Texas Tech past No. 3 Vanderbilt, 81-71, Saturday at Lubbock, Texas.

Texas Tech (8-2) staved off a second-half comeback by the Commodores to win its sixth in a row.

The Lady Raiders put the game out of reach with a 14-6 run in the middle of the second half.

They moved the ball around the perimeter and score from the outside.

Texas Tech scored only 14 points inside the key.

Zuzi Klimesova and Chantelle Anderson each scored 26 points for Vanderbilt (11-2), which had won eight in a row.
