In the Empire League:

Century 41, El Dorado 36--The league’s dominant teams the last eight years continued their rivalry with Century (16-8, 7-1) positioning itself to win a share of the title for the fifth time in six years. The Centurions outscored El Dorado (19-7, 7-1) in the fourth quarter, 22-7. Liz Mendoza had 12 of her 17 in the fourth. Smadar Bezalel scored 10 for El Dorado, which was without leading scorer Carly Wade (shoulder).

In South Coast League boys’ basketball:

San Clemente 64, Dana Hills 63--James Hartman scored 17 points for San Clemente (14-7, 3-5), which overcame a 48-40 third-quarter deficit. Travis Nelson scored 29 points for Dana Hills (8-15, 0-8).

In Empire League girls’ soccer:

Kennedy 1, Cypress 0--Kristen Williams scored in the 48th minute to lift the Fighting Irish over first-place Cypress (14-7, 6-2).

In the Freeway League:

La Habra 2, Troy 1 (OT)--Natalie Roth scored both goals for La Habra (16-2-4, 5-2-1). Lauryn Welch scored for Troy (14-4-2, 5-1-2).

In the Sea View League:

No. 1 Woodbridge 2, No. 7 Newport Harbor 1--Christene Johnson and Danielle Shank scored first-half goals for the Warriors (12-1-4, 6-0-1). Laura Kauth scored for Newport Harbor (10-5-4, 4-1-2).

In the Serra League:

No. 3 Santa Margarita 3, Mater Dei 1--Jenny Anderson scored the first of her two goals from 25 yards in injury time of the first half, helping the Eagles (14-2-2, 4-0-1) clinch the league title.

In the South Coast League:

No. 4 Capistrano Valley 1, No. 9 El Toro 0--Natalie Franko scored on an assist from Laura Greenberg in the 70th minute for the Cougars (12-25, 4-1-3). El Toro is 15-7-1, 5-3.

Dana Hills 2, San Clemente 0--Sophomore Margo Pineda scored twice in the first 10 minutes for visiting Dana Hills (9-10-3, 3-4-1).

In the Sunset League:

No. 5 Edison 3, Marina 0--Stacia Hoover scored twice for Edison (17-1-5, 6-0-2).
