Borchart Is Expected to Miss Tonight

Scott Borchart, Chaminade High’s three-time All-Southern Section center, is not expected to play in tonight’s 7 o’clock first-round Southern Section Division III-AA playoff game against visiting Pomona Ganesha because of an ankle injury suffered Feb. 2 against Harvard-Westlake.
Borchart severely sprained his right ankle and was on crutches until early last week. He began rehabilitation Saturday.
Assistant coach Bryan Cantwell said the Eagles hope Borchart can play Friday night against Ridgecrest Burroughs if Chaminade wins tonight.
The Eagles (17-8) will use 6-8 Jon Todd in place of Borchart. They defeated St. Francis last week without Borchart.
