* CAL STATE NORTHRIDGE (7-6) at WEBER STATE (5-5), 6 PST--Northridge, picked to win the Big Sky Conference, couldn’t ask for a tougher opener. Weber State, conference champion in 1999, arguably enjoys the best home-court advantage in the Big Sky. Northridge is 1-11 at Dee Events Center in Ogden, Utah, and 5-13 overall against the Wildcats. Last season, Weber State scored a school-record 76 second-half points in a 113-92 victory over the visiting Matadors. Northridge Coach Bobby Braswell was ejected late in the game. Despite the loss, center Brian Heinle scored a career-high 34 points for Northridge. Heinle, a 6-foot-10 senior, was selected Big Sky player of the week after posting three consecutive double-doubles. Weber State has been hurt by graduation. Guard Jermaine Boyette, who sat out last season, averages 23 points.
