Georgia Gets Hot in Second Half to Beat Florida

Kelly Miller scored a season-high 28 points and No. 4 Georgia scored the game’s last 15 points to pull away for a 72-59 Southeastern Conference victory over No. 10 Florida on Thursday night in Athens, Ga.

Georgia (14-2, 2-0) trailed by as many as 10 points in the first half and by two, 59-57, after Sherisha Hills hit a three-pointer for Florida (13-2, 2-1) with three minutes to play. But baskets by Christi Thomas and Coco Miller gave Georgia the lead for good.

Washington 66, Arizona State 62--Giuliana Mendiola, a freshman from El Toro High, had 15 points and seven rebounds and hit a free throw with nine seconds to play to clinch a victory for the Huskies (10-3, 3-0 Pac-10) at Tempe, Ariz.
