Authorities Identify Body Found Sunday
A woman’s body discovered by a jogger outside of Palmdale has been identified as Carol Stacy Evjen, a 49-year-old homeless woman from the area, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said Friday.
Coroner’s officials said Evjen died of multiple traumatic injuries. Sheriff’s homicide detectives are investigating the death.
The body was found about 8:30 a.m. Sunday on Old Harold Road near Desert Oak Drive. Investigators said Evjen had probably died the previous night.
