KEN DORY, BOYS’ COACH OF THE YEAR

A second consecutive Southern Section title was his to lose, but Dory managed to blend high school swimmers and club-trained international-class competitors into a potent championship team. His management style helped Irvine improve on its runner-up finish in 1999 to win back-to-back Division I titles.
