Lost only one match in three years for Spartans. Won her third consecutive player of the year award. Allowed only one point in singles title match.

ERIC GO/JERRY BAI

Boys' doubles Villa Park So./Jr.

Didn't compete together in Southern Section individuals, but defeated the champions in the team semifinals.

MANGKA LAKIRI/CONNIE HWANG

Girls' doubles Villa Park Sr./Jr.

Won the Southern Section individuals for first time together. Hwang was a first-team selection with Lin Cai last season.

MANGKALAKIRI/WONG

Mixed doubles Villa Park

Won the Southern Section individual title, giving Mangkalakiri her third consecutive mixed doubles title.

DENNY OENAR

Boys' singles Sunny Hills Jr.

Won his second consecutive Freeway League title and advanced to the semifinals of the Southern Section individuals.

NINA HUYNH

Girls' singles La Quinta Jr.

The Garden Grove League champion upset fourth-seeded Irma Bautista of Azusa to advance to the semifinals of the Southern Section individuals.

Boys' doubles La Quinta Sr./Jr.

Won the Garden Grove League title and advanced to quarterfinals of the Southern Section individuals.

HANG PHAM/THAO TRAN

Girls' doubles Garden Grove Jr./Jr.

Advanced to semifinals of Southern Section individuals and won the Garden Grove League title.

ERIC GO/CONNIE HWANG

Mixed doubles Villa Park So./Jr.

Defeated second-seeded Victor Guan and Elie Wu of Alhambra Keppel to advance to Southern Section individual final.

PRAT MALLAWONG, COACH OF THE YEAR

Coach Garden Grove

Despite losing most of the boys off his Garden Grove squad that reached the finals last season, Mallawon was able to guide Argonauts to semifinals.
