Edison 8-11, Perris 0-0--Kelly Birk pitched the first-game shutout with eight strikeouts. She also had three hits, including a double and triple, scored three runs and had three RBIs.

In the second game, Scarlett Neal was two for three with two RBIs and scored three runs. Edison’s Vanessa Luis had two hits, including a three-run home run in the fourth inning. Amanda Shelton pitched a one-hitter in a game shortened to five innings because of the mercy rule.

Trabuco Hills 1-4, Cypress 0-0--Brenda Zito’s bunt single in the 11th inning of the first game scored Kasey Murray with the winning run for Trabuco Hills (4-5). Zito’s hit broke up a no-hitter for Cypress starter Candice Baker, who had 17 strikeouts.

Casey Ryan had a two-run single and Nikki Barrett pitched a one-hitter for the Mustangs in the second game.

In the championship game of the Bloomington tournament:

Liberty Christian 11, Anza Hamilton 8--Tiffany Fernandez was three for four with three RBIs and Danielle Mershon (6-2) struck out four for the Minutemen (6-2). Hamilton is 11-1.

In a consolation game at the Charter Oak tournament:

El Dorado 14, Covina Gladstone 0 (5, mercy)--The Golden Hawks had 16 hits in the first game, led by Kristi Durant, who was four for four with a triple and two RBIs. Rebecca Taul (3-2) didn’t allow a hit and struck out eight.

In the semifinals of the Garden Grove tournament:

Laguna Hills 2, Santa Margarita 1--Laguna Hills reached Monday’s championship game against Loara, as Stephanie Morgan scored the winning run against Santa Margarita (10-2).

The Hawks beat Savanna, 10-0, in the quarterfinals. Britanny Fait (10-2) earned both wins for Laguna Hills (13-3).

Loara 4, Lakewood Mayfair 0--Junior Alicia Owen pitched a three-hitter, improving to 6-0 for Loara (11-0).

In a consolation game:

Orange Lutheran 5, Santiago 0--Laura Miklos retired the first 20 batters she faced before Jesus Gonzalez ended her bid for a perfect game with a bloop single to left. Miklos hit a grand slam in the top of the seventh for Orange Lutheran (7-5), which beat San Clemente, 4-3, in a later game.
