McDonald’s All-American will long be remembered for his ability to glide past defenders and lay the ball in left-handed or pull up for an outside shot. He averaged 19.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.1 assists for the state Division I champion. UCLA-bound guard also handled ball with aplomb.

Precocious guard developed into a scoring machine, averaging 23.6 points. Also averaged 4.6 assists and showed a willingness to get his teammates involved. His quickness and continued growth should make him a player to watch in 2002 as he tries to lead the Sentinels back to prominence.

Sharp-shooting swingman was leader of Eagle team that finished No. 2 in the Orange County Sportswriters’ Poll and advanced to the Southern Section Division II-AA semifinals. Heady and steady, he made 37.5% of his three-point attempts and 86.7% of his free-throw attempts.

Great defensive guard stifled Josh Childress in the Seahawks’ Division II-A semifinal against Lakewood Mayfair, limiting Stanford-bound player to six points. He averaged 22.4 points and 7.4 rebounds, which was impressive for his height. Also set five school records, including career points (1,561).

Two-time Sea View League MVP could play four positions--and play them well. He made 42% of his three-point attempts and averaged 17.2 points and 7.5 rebounds for the league champion Warriors. Also shot 74% from the free-throw line and was the go-to guy late in games.

Swingman’s three-point shooting and leadership set him apart. He made 44.8% of his three-point attempts and averaged 14.4 points and 4.5 assists. He sacrificed his scoring average in order to get his teammates involved. Next year, he will play at Point Loma Nazarene with teammate Kyle Egkan.

Undersized guard was most indispensable player for Division I-AA runners-up. He could shoot, slash to the basket or pass the ball with ease. He averaged 18.1 points and shot 77.3% from the free-throw line while leading the Chargers to their first section championship-game appearance.

Top scoring threat averaged 21.1 points and set the Diablos’ single-game scoring record with 44 points against Oceanside. He also averaged 10.4 rebounds, made 54.8% of his field-goal attempts and set school records for career scoring and rebounding. He’ll add to those totals next season.

The California-bound center was the most dominating player in the county when healthy. He shot 71.3% from the field and averaged 15.5 points, 10 rebounds and 2.4 blocked shots but missed 11 games with various foot ailments. His ability to move around others for dunks was unparalleled.

South Coast League MVP averaged 12.5 points and made 45% of his three-point attempts despite being constantly hounded by opponent’s best defender. He also averaged 4.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists but missed the Cougars’ playoff run to the Division I-AAA title game with a broken wrist.
