Cal State Fullerton catcher Jenny Topping was named first-team Division I All-America by the National Fastpitch Coaches Assn.

Topping, a sophomore from Sonora High, hit .423 with 14 home runs and 59 runs batted in. She previously was named Big West Conference player of the year. She transferred from Washington before the start of the season.

Softball--The high school of Cal State Fullerton’s Jenny Topping was misidentified Friday. The All-American catcher attended La Habra High.

Topping, Titan utility player Gina Oaks and outfielder Yasmin Mossadeghi were named first-team All-West Region, and third baseman Monica Lucatero was named to the second team.

Other All-American first-team selections include Kelsey Kollen, Jr., Michigan/Mater Dei; Toni Mascarenas, Sr., Arizona/Pacifica; Natasha Watley, So., UCLA/Woodbridge, and Lauren Bauer, Sr., Arizona/Foothill. Second-team members include Amanda Freed, Jr., UCLA/Pacifica. Third-team members include Tia Bollinger, Fr., Washington/Mater Dei; Jaime Clark, So., Washington/Foothill, and Kelly Hauxhurst, Sr., Washington/Westminster.
