L.A. Franklin 12, L.A. Marshall 7--Stanley Robinson scored on a one-yard run with 4:30 remaining in the game to put visiting Franklin (6-2, 4-0) ahead to stay.
Franklin stopped Marshall (3-5, 2-2) on downs at the Franklin 20-yard line with 1:01 remaining to seal the Northern League victory. The Panthers play Belmont (5-3, 4-0) next week for the league title.
Franklin quarterback Narciso Diaz completed 20 of 34 passes for 235 yards and one touchdown, and wide receiver Johnny Rosales had eight catches for 120 yards and a touchdown.
Senior Corey Lindley rushed 26 times for 186 yards and one touchdown for Marshall. Lindley now has 1,046 yards on the year, breaking the single-season rushing record set by Gene Harlin in 1984 at 1,020.
