Quarterback Richard Perez of Garden Grove Santiago scored on a one-yard run as time expired to give his team a 23-20 victory over Garden Grove Rancho Alamitos. Quarterback Joe Souza of Bellflower St. John Bosco completed four passes and rushed twice during an 84-second, 95-yard touchdown drive that gave the Braves a 23-20 Serra League victory over Anaheim Servite.

Alhambra safety Dustin Garcia intercepted three passes in a 32-7 Almont League victory over San Gabriel.

Running back Donnell Johnson of Anaheim Savanna rushed for 275 yards and four touchdowns in a 42-18 Orange League win over Anaheim Magnolia.

UPSETS

Lakewood Mayfair d. Cerritos, 21-20.

The Monsoons created a three-way tie for first in the Suburban League by knocking off the previously unbeaten Dons.

Los Angeles Fremont d. Los Angeles Crenshaw, 27-19.

The Pathfinders handed Crenshaw its first league loss in two-plus seasons to claim at least a share of Coliseum League title.

Huntington Beach Marina d. Fountain Valley, 29-27.

For the second week in a row, the Vikings played with inspiration and beat a traditional Sunset League power.

Rancho Cucamonga d. Alta Loma, 24-21.

Jeffrey Essig kicked a 37-yard field goal with 1:12 left as Rancho Cucamonga beat Alta Loma for the first time in five years.
