La Mirada 49, Santa Ana Foothill 25--Junior Vaca scored six touchdowns as host La Mirada reached the Division VI semifinals, where it will meet Newport Beach Newport Harbor, with a victory over the Knights in front of 2,500 at La Mirada.
The Matadores (10-1) had scoring drives of 87 and 65 yards, but Vaca was clearly the star, carrying 25 times for 273 yards and four touchdowns. He also caught touchdown passes of 81 of five yards.
La Mirada quarterback Chris Moreno completed 13 of 17 passes for 262 yards and three touchdowns.
Mike Liti led Foothill (10-2) with 167 yards in 20 carries and scored three touchdowns. Knight quarterback Don Poole completed 16 of 34 passes for 161 yards and two touchdowns.
