Supervisors Threaten to Quit Regional Council
- Share via
Ventura County supervisors are threatening to pull out of a committee that meets monthly to discuss regional issues, saying the group no longer has focus and costs too much.
Supervisors agreed to send a letter to the Ventura County Council of Governments stating that the county intends to withdraw unless the group can refine its goals and negotiate lower costs for members.
Supervisor Judy Mikels said it makes no sense to continue participation unless the group, made up of representatives from the county and its 10 cities, identifies specific issues to tackle.
