Bus Washer Pinned Between Vehicles, Dies
A woman washing public buses suffered fatal injuries Thursday morning when she was pinned between two of them.
Guadalupe Sanchez, 54, of Pacoima was cleaning the rear of a Los Angeles Transportation Department bus at a maintenance yard near Foothill Boulevard and Arroyo Avenue shortly before 1 a.m. when a co-worker accidentally moved the bus behind her, pinning her, police said.
“They were wearing rubber boots and a co-worker’s foot probably slipped off the brake onto the gas pedal, causing the tragedy,” said Police Det. Bill Bustos.
