There Is a Way to Reclaim Lost Tech Jobs

Re “Tech Jobs Become State’s Unwanted Big Export,” Dec. 12:
So the decline in high-paying technology jobs has left California much worse off in terms of income than the rest of the country and is a big reason the state faces a $30-billion-plus budget deficit.
Do some research on the 600,000 immigrants allowed into this country on the H-1B temporary visa. Many were allowed into the country who were not qualified for high-tech jobs. This would be a good time to make sure they are deported immediately to open up jobs for those collecting unemployment. The best way of locating these immigrants would be the DMV.
According to the news, the H-1B visa was a bipartisan move to help the high-tech industry keep labor costs down, in return for political donations.
