Health Agency Fills Dental Outreach Post
The Orange County Health Care Agency has a new dental officer to direct programs promoting oral health.
Michael Mahshigian, formerly an assistant clinical professor at the University of California, San Francisco, is one of 150 people nationwide recognized as “diplomats” of the American Board of Dental Public Health.
In his new post, he will direct programs that provide more than 12,000 dental visits annually, including examinations for children and juveniles in county probation facilities and people who are HIV-positive, officials said.
