Drowning Victim Is Identified

THOUSAND OAKS —
The body of a man found by his mother floating next to his sailboat in Channel Islands Harbor was identified Sunday as Geoffrey Fowler of Oxnard.
Fowler, 51, was found Saturday in the water near his boat slip in the harbor off Peninsula Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics with the Oxnard Fire Department.
An autopsy was expected to be performed today.
