City Seeks Volunteer to Help Plan Walk of Fame

From Times Staff Reports

Taking a cue from Hollywood, this rural town of about 14,000 wants to create a downtown Walk of Fame and seeks a volunteer to help with the planning.

The goal is to recognize people who have made important contributions to Fillmore and to develop another attraction for the city’s railroad property and Central Park.

The volunteer would join a City Council member and a representative from the city staff in selecting designs for the Walk of Fame plaques and would help publicize the program. The appointment is for four years.
