Conference to Discuss Master Planning

The Urban Land Institute will host a conference next Monday and Tuesday in Newport Beach on strategies for developing master-planned communities.
Speakers will discuss such topics as the latest planning and design trends, how “new urbanist” principles can be incorporated into large-scale communities and emerging opportunities for infill and brownfield development. Another panel will discuss ways to deal with opponents of new construction.
The conference chairman is Gadi Kaufmann, chief executive of Robert Charles Lesser & Co., a real estate consulting firm.
