Re “Unit Takes Aim at Illegal Guns,” June 14: I find it appalling and a total waste of resources for L.A. City Atty. Rocky Delgadillo to create his Gun Prosecution Task Force and hire three additional prosecutors to just basically monitor the 160 or so already heavily regulated and licensed gun dealers in Los Angeles.
If Delgadillo really wants to do something to curb gun violence perhaps he should consider cooperating with the Immigration and Naturalization Service in ridding our city of illegal aliens, who make up more than 30% of our jail population and 60% of our gangs.
