From Times Staff Reports

A 24-year-old Camarillo woman has been arrested on suspicion of telephoning a fake bomb threat to county offices in Oxnard, allegedly to avoid meeting with her probation officer.

Diana Gomez is suspected of making the threat to probation offices on April 15. At the time Gomez was being sought on a warrant for failing to meet with her probation officer and as a result knew she would be arrested if she attended the meeting, police said.

Probation offices were evacuated after the threat was received, disrupting activity for several hours. Monitoring equipment at the offices tracked the call to a Camarillo house where Gomez was staying, police said.

Gomez was taken into custody Wednesday at probation offices after complying with another request to attend a meeting, police said. She posted an unspecified bail late Wednesday, authorities said.
