Update--How much talent the Red Wings have can be judged by the fact that Brendan Shanahan, whose next goal will be the 500th of his career, ranks ninth among active players, but only fourth on the Red Wing roster--Brett Hull (672), Steve Yzerman (658) and Luc Robitaille (619) are ahead of him. Yzerman, who has missed nine games because of a knee injury, suffered a minor setback and is not expected back for at least a week. Duck right wing Patric Kjellberg is questionable because of a sore neck. The Ducks have not won in Detroit since 1996-97. They are 0-11-2 in that time, including four losses in the playoffs.
