Man, 19, Assaulted and His Car Stolen
A 19-year-old Oxnard resident was beaten by three men and his car was stolen outside a local apartment complex this week, Oxnard police said.
The victim, whom police declined to identify, was standing next to his automobile in the 1600 block of West 5th Street when the attack occurred about 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Three men approached and punched and kicked him before one drove off in the victim’s 1998 Honda Accord and the other two fled on foot, police said.
The victim declined medical treatment for his injuries, police said. His black, four-door car had not been located as of late Thursday.
Detectives said they have a strong lead on one suspect, a local gang member, and hope to make an arrest soon.
